The current position

A2Z Video Tools sets no cookies of its own. There is no login, no session and no setting that needs remembering between visits, so there is nothing for a cookie to hold.

Third-party cookies are a different matter and this site does set some, through Google Analytics. They are described in full below rather than left implied.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. They are used for keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, measuring traffic and targeting advertising. The first two are hard to do without; the last two are choices.

The categories

Essential

Cookies a site cannot function without, such as a session for a logged-in user. This site has none, because it has nothing to keep you signed in to.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people actually read. Google sets cookies in your browser to do this, typically named _ga and _ga_ followed by a property identifier. They hold a randomly generated number that lets Google tell a returning browser from a new one. They do not hold your name, your email address or anything you typed into this site.

These cookies persist for up to two years unless you delete them. Google Analytics 4 does not record full IP addresses, and no file you open in the tools on this site is visible to it, because those files never leave your browser.

You can opt out for every site at once with Google's official browser add-on, or block the cookies for this site in your browser settings. Neither affects how the site works.

Advertising

None in use. The layout reserves space for advertising so that enabling it later does not reshuffle pages, but nothing is loaded and no advertising cookies are set. If advertising is enabled, this page and the privacy policy will be updated first.

Consent

Analytics and advertising cookies are set when you arrive, without a consent prompt. Some jurisdictions, the European Union in particular, require consent before non-essential cookies are placed, so if you are visiting from one of those and would rather not be counted, block the cookies named above in your browser or use Google's opt-out add-on. Both take effect immediately and neither changes how the site behaves.

Managing cookies yourself

Every browser lets you see the cookies stored, delete them, and block them by site or entirely. The controls are usually under privacy or site settings. Blocking cookies will not affect this site, since none of its features depend on one.

Browsers also offer private or incognito modes, which discard cookies when the window closes.
